The Rajasthan Royals are the IPL's under dogs. The most interesting aspect of this side is that they have a player/coach, Shane Warne. The experiment will add an extra layer of drama to this sides performances, particularly given the history between Warne and South African captain Graham Smith. Jaipur were the least active in the first auction and the side they had amassed touted few recognised big hitters and appeared short of bowlers. The second auction proved a saviour, Jaipur picked up the two superb all rounders Shane Watson and Dimitri Mascarenhas. Adding these two dynamos in amongst Younis Khan, Akmal, Kaif, Smith, Sohail Tanvir and Munaf Patel gives Jaipur fans a reason to question why they are overwhelmingly favourites to finish last in the inaugural IPL. PLAYER TO WATCH SHANE WARNE Shane Warne is the first to take on the task of a player/coach as he leads the "royals". While not active on the international scene Warne has been keeping himself busy with regular cricket. Spotted during the recent summer of cricket down under his former captain Mark Taylor commented that Warne is the "fittest I've seen him". Warne's taking this competition very seriously.
